George Grotz 

George is a graduate of the University of Delaware, and is a member and Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head. He and his wife have lived on Hilton Head for five years. Following graduation he performed his military service as an Army infantry officer, after which he joined the FBI and spent the next 29 years in a variety of investigative, supervisory and managerial assignments.

 

Those assignments took him to Seattle, Cleveland, Washington, D.C., Quantico, Virginia and San Francisco as well as overseas working with law enforcement agencies in Colombia, the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe and Russia.  In addition to the investigations of organized crime and drug trafficking, George was an instructor at the FBI Academy in Quantico and established the FBI’s international law enforcement training program in response to requests from the countries of Eastern Europe as they emerged from the yoke of soviet control.

 

Following George’s FBI service he was the program manager and operations director for a San Francisco Bay Area law enforcement technology company and was active in many volunteer activities.
