Roland King - College Ethics Symposium Chairman

Roland is a native of New Orleans who moved to the Low Country from Detroit with wife Patty shortly after his early retirement.

King’s career in Corporate America, specifically the automotive industry involved several high profile positions in international operations, executive staffing, college relations, and employee relations. Roland has represented his company on 5 continents traveling extensively to Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Far East.

King’s strong affinity for the education and development of young people led him to become a volunteer mentor and life coach. He has served on several boards in academia, government, and faith-based organizations. He is recognized as an effective speaker and presenter.

Mr. King possesses a bachelor’s degree from Southern University (Baton Rouge, La.), pursued graduate studies at Louisiana State University (LSU) and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Program. He served two terms as President of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association of Detroit.
